Almora
Almora is one of the most beautiful places in Kumaon region of Uttaranchal. Almora is a very Virgin Hill Station and is of scenic beauty. Embedded in the lap of nature this region has small houses built on the slopes and add splendor of this place colorful clothing of the natives. Just next to the city flows the Koshi (Kaushaki) and Suyal (Salmali) rivers.
Mussoorie
It is situated at an altitude of 2500 meters in the green Himalayas. Because of its location and beauty Mussoorie is regarded as the best hill in the northern region. In 1820 Captain Young from the British army was influenced by the beauty of this place and made this place his residence. The name, Mussoorie, is here of plants "Mussoorie" that were found in derived abundance. The modern bungalows, malls and ewe Gardens that are on the small hills around the area, are enough to attract any tourist.
Nainital
Once this area had many lakes and was a city of 60 lakes or 'Chakta. Most of the lakes in the region have disappeared and what remains is just a glimpse of what it could have been in the past. Gulmarg
The valley of Gulmarg, a large meadow about 3-sq km in area, located at 2730 meters, 56-km southwest of Srinagar. The name means "flower" and in spring it is just that, a rolling meadow with countless colorful Bluebells, Daisies, Forget Me Nots and Buttercups dotted. The valley itself is about 3 km long and up to a mile wide. Surrounded by snow-capped mountains and on clear days one can be seen all the way to Nanga Parbat is one direction and Srinagar is another. It is a popular destination for excursions from Srinagar to Gulmarg, although many people extend their stay or use it as a starting point for trekking. The road from Srinagar rises gently to the lower slopes of the area, past the rice and corn fields.
Srinagar
The capital of Jammu and Kashmir and the largest city in the state, Srinagar (1,730 m) is known for its canals, houseboats and Mughal gardens become famous. The city itself is quite different than most other major cities in India for here are much more in Central Asia than on the subcontinent.
