On the inside of the Nashville songwriting community since 1991, I have a lot on how the business works, and learn what kind of songs are likely to To excite Publisher enough to give them a call songwriter, and a contract. It is not easy.
The basic steps are:
1. Their song is not too earn royalties sitting in a drawer. Many writers assume that they will "cash in" a day, but fear that their songs stolen from causes, which I "terminal procrastination", which has broken many a career. Professional writers can steal your idea but they will not steal songs and ideas anyway are not protected, then drag the song out of the hat on!

The independent business model has been developed and it is always possible, a successful independent record company itself: Create function great music, sell merchandise (online sales and live performances) and collection of revenue from downloads, CD sales, live performance fees, as well as from ancillary products such as T-shirts and other items.
