Saute onion and celery in the other ingredients in pan and bake at 350 degrees until rice is cooked – about 1 hour. Be creative with your pot recipes!
QUICK TURKEY AND SAUSAGE PAELLA
Ingredients
1 Pound Turkey, chops, cut 1 / 2 inch strips
3 / 4 pound chorizo or other sausage, cut into slices
Each 1 onion, thinly Sliced
1 each red pepper, red
1 1 / 4 tbsp. Olive
2 each chili peppers, red and hot, dry
1 / 4 Tsp Thyme, dried
1 each bay leaf
1 1 / 2 cup rice, long grain
1 / 2 cup wine, dry, white
1 3 / 4 cup chicken broth
8 oz tomatoes, Italian, may
1 / 4 Tsp Saffron
1, salt and pepper, ground
3 / 4 cup peas, frozen, thawed
Directions
Directions for Food Recipe: 3 liters of oil in a Dutch oven, add Turkey and roast until lightly browned, about 4 minutes. Add sausage and fry until they are lightly browned. Add the onions, chili, thyme and bay leaf; cook over low heat until the onions soften, about 5 minutes. Add the peppers and rice, stirring constantly to coat with oil. Add the wine, chicken broth, Tomatoes, saffron, 1 / 4 Tsp salt and 1 / 4 Tsp pepper. To reduce Bring to boil, heat and simmer covered until rice is tender, 18 to 20 minutes. Remove from heat; Stir in peas, cover and let stand for 2 minutes adjust seasonings and serve immediately.
